Fast and Easy Hydraulic Setting of Ground Pressure

Fast and Easy Hydraulic Setting of Ground Pressure
Kverneland

Kverneland’s new suspension feature provides easy and simple setting of ground pressure on the 2800 and 3200 series. For greater comfort for the operator the ground pressure of the large suspension spring is set hydraulically from the tractor cab. Easy to adjust, even on the go.

No fields are alike and loosing important time when having to change ground pressure manually because of weather or field conditions changing, can be a valuable loss. With the new hydraulic solution from Kverneland, accurate and instant setting of ground pressure is done fast and easy. There is no need to leave the tractor seat. It can be done from the tractor cab.

A Simple Solution Solving a Crucial Task
The new suspension concept is in fact a very simple and clever solution to an important challenge in optimizing the mowing job. On the new hydraulic version the tension on the large suspension spring, which controls the ground pressure, is adjusted hydraulically, to increase or lower pressure - all easily done from the tractor seat through the hydraulic remote of the tractor. The chosen ground pressure level is conveniently registered from the easy-to-read scale.

Work Smarter on the Go
Ground pressure can be adjusted even on the move when the field conditions change. E.g. choose light ground pressure in rough conditions, when cutting headlands and increase pressure when cutting the rest of the field to protect mower and stubble, yet ensuring excellent and accurate cutting performance with triangular discs.

More importantly the correct setting of ground pressure adds significantly to better work result and reduction of fuel consumption, as a mower with correct ground pressure is easier to pull, requiring less power and fuel consumption. Additionally it ensures best possible protection of crop roots, leading to faster regrowth
