A clean sweep for Kverneland

2016 was something of a record-breaking year for Kverneland - it was the year where machinery innovation awards came thick and fast at every show attended.

The year started with the announcement that the 2500-series i-Plough had been recognised for the LAMMA Show innovation award for the best new product or innovation in the mechanical crop equipment category.

i-plough Award, Adam

Representing the future of ploughing, the i-Plough uses isobus to make life easier for operators to input plough settings and depth requirements from the cab. It has taken the guess-work out of plough settings, and can assist less experienced operators to gain more confidence in their ability to achieve higher quality ploughing, which in turn can lead to improved agronomy.

More than just a one-off, this award was backed up at the Cereals event where the i-Plough received a highly commended certificate from the International Machinery Manufacturers Awards (IMMA).

And the accolades continued throughout the year. At the Royal Highland show, the i-Plough collected a silver medal for technical innovation, while the Exacta CL with GEOSPREAD was presented with a gold medal award at the Royal Welsh show for its ability to offer high-tech spreading solutions and section control on smaller, more affordable equipment.

Graham Spreader Award

“These awards highlight how technology can deliver more efficiency for Kverneland implements,” says Kverneland UK managing director Joe Bell.
